This introduction to individual support will give you the basic skills to work either in aged care or with disabilities. You will learn how to care for people that have high support needs including how to shower, sponge bath, shave, and provide overall personal care for clients. You will also learn more basic skills on how to communicate effectively with clients and ensure that you are able to recognise and respond to work health and safety risks and hazards.
Successful candidates will complete units which could be credited towards a range of courses offered in the Community Services and Health sectors, including the Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability

This 3-week intensive course conducted online, will be run with a blend of online classes, work based learning and assessment, online practical workshops and self-paced activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in “Speed Interviews” with Disability organisations to either gain employment or as a pathway to Traineeships.
